Process Execution
This section illustrates how to handle Processes in FNZ Studio Solutions.
As introduced in the Process Design section, an FNZ Studio Process is a Business Object (BO) that orchestrates the interactions among other BOs, and defines the sequence of operations performed by users.
Every time a Process is started, FNZ Studio creates a Process Instance that manages the execution of the workflow and its associated business data. Each Process Instance represents a specific execution of a Process model and has its own unique ID, execution history, data set, and participants, and is isolated from other instances even if based on the same Process Model. See Process Instances and its sub-sections for full information.
Two key components underpin every Process Instance: Tokens and Value Stores.
Tokens track the execution state of the Process, representing the active paths through the workflow as it progresses from one activity to the next. See Process Tokens (Workitems) and its sub-sections for full information.
Value Stores hold the business data associated with the Process Instance, including variables, Data Objects, and other runtime information that is created and updated during execution. See Value Store and its sub-sections for full information.
Together, Process Instances, Tokens, and Value Stores provide the foundation for Process execution in FNZ Studio, combining workflow state and business data into a single runtime model.
